Chimichurri Blend 35g
Most nations have traditional spice blends they call their own, but Epicentre Chimichurri Blend is common to many nations. Chimichurri is a hand-blended spice mix containing sea salt, parsley, garlic, onion, smoked paprika, oregano, cilantro, cumin, tomatillo powder, vinegar powder, black pepper, basil, bay leaves and citric acid. According to the Argentine gourmet, Miguel Brascó, the name chimichurri originated after the British were captured at Río de la Plata. They asked the natives for condiments to mix with their food, in the little aboriginal and Spanish words they knew and "che mi salsa" (give me condiment) or "give me curry" became "che-mi-curry". Since many spices go into this blend, you can easily imagine how flavorful and fragrant the final product will be. Chimichurri is predominantly used to season grilled meat but it also works wonders as a dip for vegetables. Originally from Argentina, chimichurri is used extensively Uruguay, Southern Brazil, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico.
Can be used as marinade, finishing sauce, and in salad dressings. Works well with meat, poultry, fish and vegetables.
Add just enough water to immerse the amount of herbs being used and allow it to rehydrate for five minutes. Add extra virgin olive oil and mix to desired consistency.
