Mushroom Croquettes

    Do you put flour in your mushroom croquettes? I tried a recipe the other day which didn’t have any flour in it. However, I had to put some because the mix was too fluid before I could fry it. It didn’t taste so great.

    I don’t like to put flour in my mushroom croquettes either. However, if you see that your mixture is not thick enough, you can add some corn starch. It thickens it more but doesn’t taste like flour.

    How about using cornmeal? That might help hold it together and add a better taste and texture than flour or cornstarch. Alternatively, you could try patting some flour on the outside of the croquettes, instead of adding it into the mixture, so that the flour cooks and makes a crust.
